Built in the Shop

No warehouse. No middleman. Just a lathe, a mill, a bandsaw older than most of our customers, and a family that knows how to use them.

Step one

It starts as a stick of steel

Carter cuts every blank to length on the shop’s old DoAll bandsaw. Measure twice, cut once, check it again. It’s not glamorous. It’s how parts end up fitting the first time.

Step two

Then it goes on the lathe

Greg spent a career in manufacturing before TrailFab had a name. He turns and threads every sleeve right here, so it screws straight onto your factory tie rod. No cutting and no guesswork on your end. The guesswork got done in the shop.

Step three

Finished on the mill

Flats and final details get cut on the mill. Then it gets checked by the same people who’ll be riding on one this weekend.

The machines

Old iron, still working

Some of these machines have been making parts longer than any of us have been alive. They don’t make them like this anymore, so we take care of the ones we’ve got.

Got an idea for the outdoors?

If we can build our own parts, we can probably build yours. Bring us the problem, and we’ll figure out the part.
